Snart är hösten här

Oundvikligen!

You’re receiving this notification today because, over the years, we have worked together, or have crossed musical paths in one way or another.   I’m sure you’ve seen by now the press release informing you of the grand opening of DigiVegas Radio.  DigiVegas Radio is now streaming 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, providing independent musicians the chance to stand shoulder-to-shoulder on the airwaves, right alongside the big name, major label artists.”

To start things off with the new station, I am using some of the indie music I already have, most of it collected during my work on the podcast.   I want to make this station an interactive, indie music community, with the music receiving the full, active support of the bands, their fans, and all listeners of the station.  The indie bands on DigiVegas should want to be here, not just be placed here and forgotten.  I do not intend to use this current batch of indie music for very long if I can help it, a month or so, tops.

I invite you to participate in this new endeavor with me.  Please submit your music for airplay consideration by attaching mp3′s to an email sent to DIGIVEGAS@GMAIL.COM.

MP3′s only, with a bare minimum bitrate of 128kb/s.  192 or 256 is preferred.  We broadcast on AAC+ format, at 48kb/s.  It sounds better than128 kb/s mp3 (using less than half the bandwidth, btw…), currently what the typical internet station broadcasts, so the bitrate of your songs needs to be higher.

Please send a maximum of 2 songs per artist.  Send me your best music, not your whole portfolio.

Also, if you wish, please include a recorded song introduction, greeting, or station ID.  You may send that in separately for us to assemble, or you can attach/mix them yourselves (which would help us a lot!).  Just introduce yourself, and include the name DigiVegas, and perhaps one of the following tag lines:

…Your music, your way!
…A different kind of radio!
…Music by the people, for the people!
…Where indie music comes to live!
